My Story

I'm Odin Larsen, an emerging artist based in Norway, working under the name Guidarto - a play on the Italian word for “driven.” As a lifelong car enthusiast, my work combines that passion with a deep drive to create something bigger than myself.

My first works were crafted from old car parts. Worn wheels, hoods, wings, to name a few - each with its own story. They cost a fortune to make, sold slowly, but they taught me the value of chasing ideas even when they don’t make sense on paper. I then moved on to sculptures, unusual painting techniques, and even experimented with engine oil as a medium.

Most of it failed commercially, but none of it was wasted.

I eventually settled on the classic approach 'paint on canvas', developing a style that’s minimal yet detailed, raw yet precise. While a lot of automotive art is about celebrating the design of the car, my work puts just as much weight on the world around it. The setting, the lighting, the silence or tension in the air, it all matters.

I try to paint not just what we see, but what we feel in those moments we share with our cars.

For now, painting is my focus, but I have bigger, more unconventional projects ahead: art cars, installations, even performance pieces - always with cars at the center.

Today, my work is in the hands of collectors around the world, with full collections selling out in days.

I’m still experimenting, pushing new ideas out into the world, and this is only the beginning.

My most defining chapters are yet to be written.
